In the centre of Tintagel you will find a wide selection of shops that sell individual and interesting things that provide the perfect gift for friends and family back home or for a memory of your stay here.
There are also several pubs and restaurants in the village serving varied food in the evening and in the day, which cater for most tastes.
A big attraction is The Old Post Office located in the heart of Tintagel. This is maintained by the National Trust and is well worth a wander around, especially in the back garden.

Tintagel castle is one of the most visited attractions on the English Heritage list throughout England and proves to be the main reason Tintagel is so popular year after year. With the right weather conditions it can truly be a mystical place and provides a great photo opportunity.
The nearest beach is at the Castle which is a sheltered cove and is sand and shingle, the nearest sandy beach is at Trebarwith Strand which is a 5 minute drive away. Here you will find a few shops and cafes and the Port William pub which over looks the beach and is a great place to watch the sunset!
Tintagel is well placed to visit the many attractions Cornwall has to offer.
One of the main attractions is The Eden Project which has just been voted the 'best of the best' architectural buildings in the U.K. As regular visitors, we find that Eden is worth a visit at any time of the year as it changes with the seasons and always proves an interesting day out.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan make for A fantastic day out and prove to be very informative. You really have to visit these beautiful gardens to appreciate the amount of work and effort involved in re-creating them.
